Enterprise print
management
As more and more business processes become digital dependent,
gaining competitive advantage by better management of print workflow
becomes not just an option, but a necessity.
Print devices are often the most shared resources in an
organisation, so efficiency gains and cost savings can be
considerable - but the issues of streamlining printing across
networks and within CRDs and data-centres are complex and not only
technical.
ATI have the experience and software tools to deliver solutions
which optimise the efficiency of such print workflow. The result is
greater productivity, better control of costs, higher standards of
output and improved return on investment across all departments.
ATI software controls the workflow
The prime modules of the ATI suite of software provide an integrated
print workflow control and job management system for the whole
enterprise.
Print accounting and billing
In addition to its own extensive activity log and reporting
capability, ATI software modules uniquely interface with a variety
of established third party print accounting packages. When linked
with these, seamless total print cost and accounting control
throughout the organisation is obtained, including the capture of
printing and related off-line finishing costs within the CRD/print
room.
doc-Q-manager
- the core product module provides simple but powerful print queue
management, readily sitting in both the data-centre and the CRD,
whether it is to manage variable data business application print
jobs from corporate host systems, or support the functions of the
reprographics department.
doc-Q-route
- based on the same architecture, but a different and distinct
product in its own right, complements doc-Q-manager within the
enterprise. It sits out on the network print server(s) separate to
doc-Q-manager to monitor and police print job activity. Configured
by the administrator, it provides rules based print routing and
control over all departmental local and network printing. Combined
with doc-Q-ticket it provides the source control for feeding
appropriate jobs to the doc-Q-manager server within the CRD.
doc-Q-ticket
- provides efficient transfer of users' print jobs across the
network to the CRD with electronic job ticket instructions defining
processing and finishing requirements. When operated along with
doc-Q-route it forms the link to optimise the use of the
organisation's CRD and the return on such investment.
Other ATI software modules
Other ATI software module options linking in with doc-Q-manager and
giving added functionality to the datacentre or the CRD print room
include:
doc-Q-view
- allows job preview of PCL and Postscript encoded jobs and reprint of any
page or pages without reverting to the host application.
doc-Q-forms
- provides dynamic document composition, with no host system
reprogramming, for variable host data-stream applications, using the
simplicity of Microsoft Word for design
doc-Q-split
-
automatically splits
colour pages from black & white pages within a job and sends the
respective pages to appropriate printers - thereby increasing
productivity and reducing costs.
