The origins of the company lie in the supply of high performance laser printing solutions to users demanding high speed, high volume or time critical printing.

To maintain its competitive edge ATI has always invested in a strong engineering design capability. In earlier years this was directed to the design of high performance printer controllers for integration with the best engines from Japan. In recent years, as the sophistication of OEM products has advanced, ATI's technical focus has migrated to the development of software designed to bring efficiencies to the users of the current generation of printers and digital multifunction devices.
